KIRSH Motorcycle Helmets Frequently Asked Questions

KIRSH’s innovative liner features the patented technology that offers an impressive display of versatility, at both low and high-energy impacts, from any direction at any one point in time. The half inch liner is produced by a robot that systematically pours the exact amount of chemistry grade silicone onto a top and bottom liner mold that has been fitted for the helmet.
Once the mold is poured, it is clamped together and set aside for cooling. Once the liner is tested and cooled, it is packaged and shipped to the final assembly location. Foam pegs and a rear foam triangle are shipped to final assembly. These are used to attach and ensure proper alignment of the liner to the helmet.

The helmet currently retails at $249.50 US Dollars plus shipping.

DEFLECTION/DISPERSION vs DELAMINATION/COMPRESSION
There’s a very specific and revolutionary a reason for it. A modern misconception is “lighter is better.” There is fluid in our liner. The EPS foam in most helmets is more than 90% air whereas fluid weighs more than foam (air), period. Our technology utilizes a completely different method. We call it DEFLECTION and DISPERSION. Traditional helmets have a soft shell meant to DELAMINATE (or rather break open) so that the energy gets to the foam. The fact that the helmet also delaminates means additional rotational and angular forces are introduced causing further injuries. Our helmet consists of a super hardened shell that is constructed to DEFLECT most of the energy away from the skull/brain in the event of an impact. Traditional helmets must COMPRESS that energy. The problem is foam needs to compress from both the topside and inside in order for it to stop the energy. Unfortunately, with foam that usually does not happen quick enough. So, with a KIRSH Helmet, we first DEFLECT that energy away as much as we can with the shell. Energy that does transfer to the liner from an impact is then DISPERSED omni-directionally throughout the fluid in the liner instead of passing straight through the head as with most foam-based helmets.

Absolutely! This low profile helmet brings the center of mass close to the skull and eliminates the majority of wind-drag coefficient and provides the rider with the smoothest riding experience. It’s not like a typical light weight helmet which tends to pull on the neck and head while riding. The heft actually helps keep the helmet where it should stay… on your head not actually trying to get ripped off by the wind.

Additionally, our unique silicone fluid casing acts as a conductor that pulls heat off the head, leaving no need for ventilation. Our unique fluid displacement liner conforms particularly to the individual rider’s head for extreme comfort and cooling feel.
